Crafting a “Golden Heritage”
Not for the first time, Press Club Hanoi has partnered with Piaget to craft a distinctive culinary experience. Yet the new space, The House of Gold, celebrating the Maison of Extraleganza and Piaget’s heritage in goldsmithing, watchmaking, and jewellery, has opened a fresh source of inspiration for the team at La Table Hanoia.
Here, each dish is conceived as a continuation of the Swiss Maison’s language of craftsmanship, where cuisine is not only about flavour but also about precision, detail, and the artistry of making.
When gold craftsmanship becomes culinary inspiration
Inspired by the iconic Decor Palace engraving technique introduced by Piaget in the 1960s, our team approached the menu as a search for balance between colour, form, and ingredients.

The eight-course selection is built upon a restrained yet nuanced palette. Natural golden tones from pistachio and citron establish the visual rhythm of the menu, while greens from peas, which are notoriously difficult to preserve when exposed to heat, were carefully tested and refined multiple times to achieve their desired harmony.

Once the colour palette was defined, each canapé was shaped into precise geometric forms, from layered cubes to half dome silhouettes.
Every cut and edge is crafted with meticulous accuracy, evoking the refinement of a miniature jewel. As a result, each canapé carries not only its own flavour but also the visual elegance of a small piece of jewellery, where cuisine becomes another expression of craftsmanship.
